This workshop will focus on the challenges that come with the supervision of probationer and parolees with sex offenses and navigating reentry. Speakers from Missouri Probation and Parole invite attendees to consider the unique challenges and restrictions placed upon this group of clients and the importance of recognizing such when developing supportive structures to assist them. This session will also provide attendees with knowledge as to what steps the division takes as it relates to supervising and assisting this group.

Attendees will be able to explain the additional requirements that sex offenders must comply with while on probation and parole.
Attendees will learn about supervision methods that are utilized to assist this population in successful reentry into the community.
Todd Schwent, Assistant Division Director, MO Division of Probation & Parole
Todd Schwent is a graduate of Missouri State University and started his career as a Probation & Parole Officer in 1996. Todd promoted to Unit Supervisor in 2005, later overseeing the St. Louis County Treatment Court Program and assisting in the implementation of the DWI Court. In 2013, he promoted to District Administrator in St. Louis City overseeing the St. Louis City Treatment Courts and City Court Office. Todd later assumed the District Administrator role for the St. Louis County Court office prior to promoting in 2018 to the Northeast Regional Administrator. He assumed the position of Assistant Division Director in 2019 and has chaired various committees and led implementation of case management practices for the department and division. He created a Quality Control Unit and has been instrumental in formulating changes regarding parole violation and due process practices, serves as a trainer, assists in policy development and implementation, serves as the divisional legal and legislative liaison, presents at national conferences and is a proud member of the Missouri Treatment Courts Coordinating Committee.
Mary Beth Lammey, Regional Administrator and Policy & Procedure Coordinator, MO Division of Probation & Parole
Mary Beth Lammey brings 29 years of experience in community corrections through her work with Missouri Probation and Parole. During her career, she has served as a Probation and Parole Officer, Unit Supervisor, District Administrator, Regional Administrator and Policy and Procedure Coordinator. She is currently serving as the Compliance and Strategy Specialist for the Division of Probation and Parole, focusing on policy implementation, due process compliance, and strategic improvements within the division. Mary Beth brings a broad perspective from the field, leadership and policy levels, allowing her to connect practical experience with organizational strategy.
