Building Strong Foundations: Effective Onboarding and Professional Development for Midsize Organizations

This session will showcase effective onboarding and professional development practices designed to support staff success within midsize organizations. Drawing on the experience of the MU Pre Employment Transition Services (Pre ETS) program, attendees will walk through a structured onboarding model that includes two year mentoring, new hire cohort training, program wide supports, and ongoing professional development opportunities. The session will also incorporate small group discussion and dedicated time for questions, ensuring participants can reflect, share experiences, and apply concepts to their own organizational contexts.
