Kelly Cook, Retired from VR in 2019 as Director of Independent Living and Deaf & Hard of Hearing
This workshop invites you in to hear first-hand from Ms. Kelly Cook. She worked 26 years for Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation. Ms. Cook is an 8-year breast cancer survivor and in November 2025 had an Ischemic Stroke. This session will explain types of strokes including symptoms and warning signs. This workshop will provide personal experiences and emotions during the first 6 months after a stroke. Finally, this session will highlight the individual strategies used for personal recovery.

Attendees will learn about the Medtronic Implantable Loop Recorder for monitoring Atrial Fibrillation.
